Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Warranty Operations Manager. Manages Warranty Department to determine which repairs are warrantable and maintains strong relationships with branches and vendors. Manages and directs the staff of Warranty Analysts to maintain overall process improvement and efficiencies related to centralized warranty claim processing. This is an in-office position at our KCMO location.
- Manages Warranty Analysts to make sure warranty claims are administered in the most fair and honest manner for the customer, vendor, and MHC.
- Provides training to branch staff and Warranty Analysts to ensure that vendor warranty procedures and requirements are understood and followed.
- Evaluates the corporate warranty department to make sure the department is properly staffed based on claim volume to support the branches. Evaluates Warranty Analyst performance and provides coaching to increase efficiency and minimize claim write off.
- Works with warranty vendors capture appropriate warranty labor rate recovery and that standard repair time estimates accurately reflect the time necessary to complete the repairs.
- Continuously analyzes the department’s performance and provides direction for process improvement.
- Ensures proper communication between the branch and Warranty Analyst is taking place.
- Monitors warranty claims to achieve MHC’s warranty day’s sales outstanding (DSO) standard. Follows up on past due claims to make sure these claims are resolved quickly.
- Researches and completes special projects at the request of management.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck vendor warranty process.
- Minimum two years’ experience in heavy duty truck service or processing warranty claims.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Willing to travel up to 30%.
- Must have a positive can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
